Alix Raspé Gray is an award-winning classical harpist, chamber musician and musical entrepreneur. Ms. Raspé currently performs with the New World Symphony, New York Pops, Columbus Symphony, and Portsmouth Symphony. From 2017-2018, Ms. Raspé served as the Associate Harpist for Civic Orchestra of Chicago. Ms. Raspé is currently on the faculty of Note-Worthy Experiences in Sudbury, MA. As well, Ms. Raspé serves as Development Director of Caroga Arts Collective. This summer Ms. Raspé performed as a Harp Fellow at Tanglewood Music Center and served as a harp faculty member and coach at Boston Youth Symphony Orchestra Camp.

Ms. Raspé has received numerous awards as a soloist including: the Annapolis Music Festival Maestro Award for Outstanding Soloist at the age of 13, the NYU Excellence in String Performance and Leadership Award, and the NYU Orchestral Excellence Award. In 2015, Ms. Raspé was also the winner of the NYU String Competition. In 2016, Ms. Raspé was awarded First Runner-Up in the NEC Lower Strings Concerto Competition.

As a musical innovator and performer, Ms. Raspé was awarded two Individual Fellowships and an Ensemble Fellowship for NEC's Community Performances and Partnerships. With her contemporary flute/harp duo, kairos, Ms. Raspé was awarded two Entrepreneurial Musicianship grants from NEC. Recently, with kairos, Ms. Raspé co-founded and co-directed the Dorset Chamber Music Residency (DCMR) which had its inaugural summer in June 2017. DCMR is community-driven classical chamber music festival in which the musicians are in residence in the town of Dorset.

Ms. Raspé has performed in Carnegie Hall, Alice Tully Hall, Symphony Hall, Juilliard's Paul Hall, Morse Hall, NEC's Jordan Hall, and Symphony Space. Ms. Raspé has attended such prestigious music festivals as: Tanglewood Music Center, the Aspen Music Festival, the Bowdoin International Music Festival, National Orchestral Institute, MusicAlp, Saratoga Harp Colony, Symphony Orchestra Academy of the Pacific, and Interlochen Arts Camp.

Ms. Raspé recently graduated Pi Kappa Lambda from New England Conservatory with her Masters in Harp Performance where she studied with Jessica Zhou. Ms. Raspé graduated from New York University in 2015 with a Bachelor of Music in Harp Performance and a minor in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Studies where she studied with Bridget Kibbey. Prior to attending NYU, Ms. Raspé attended Juilliard Pre-College where she studied with June Han.

Flutist Ji Weon Ryu enjoys versatile career as a soloist, chamber musician, and orchestral player. With her unparalleled technique and control of tonal palette, she won a Principal position in the Albany Symphony Orchestra. This April, she successfully debuted at the John F. Kennedy Center for Performing Arts in D.C. and Washington Performing Arts' SHIFT Festival under the baton of Grammy-winning conductor, David Alan Miller.

As an orchestral musician based in New York City, she has performed with New York String Orchestra as a Principal flutist, performing at Carnegie Hall and with Syracuse Symphony Orchestra (Symphoria) as a guest flutist. Recently, she participated at the prestigious Verbier Festival for summer 2018 where she worked with such renowned conductors as Christoph Eschenbach, Valery Gergiev and Gianandrea Noseda. All the concerts have been broadcasted live on Medici TV.

 

As an avid chamber musician, Ji Weon is a member of Frisson Ensemble, a professional group dedicated to performing rare masterworks for mixed chamber music. Highlights of 2018-19 season will include her appearance at The Morgan Library and Museum and Syracuse Friends of Music performing Debussy Syrinx and Mozart Flute Quartet. Her brilliant musicianship has awarded her top prizes from the New York Flute Club Competition, the Artur Balsam Duo Competition, 42nd National Flute Association's Young Artist Competition and the Flute Society of Greater Philadelphia Young Artist Competition. Ji Weon received professional training from The Juilliard School and Manhattan School of Music.

 

Kohei Yamaguchi is currently a M.M.A. Double Bass performance degree candidate at the Yale University School of Music studying under Donald Palma. Kohei was previously a section bass member of the Ann Arbor Symphony Orchestra and has regularly performed with several orchestras in the southeastern Michigan area. He has also toured Japan with the 2015, 2016, and 2017 Pacific Music Festival Orchestra as the principal bassist playing under the direction of music director and conductor, Valery Gergiev. Last October, Kohei had the opportunity to perform a chamber ensemble arrangement of Bruckner's 7th Symphony in Carnegie Hall as part of the Yale in New York concert series and will be returning this September to perform Stravinsky's The Soldier's Tale. Kohei earned his M.M. from the Yale School of Music in 2018 and his B.M. in 2015 from the University of Michigan School of Music, Theatre, and Dance studying under Diana Gannett and Stephen Molina.
